01 Agreement
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern use of SK Martial Arts & Fitness Academy — the Kolhapur dojos, the public website, the student/parent app, SK Dojo, and the staff admin panel.
By enquiring, creating an account, ticking “I agree”, paying fees, or stepping on the mat, you accept these Terms. If you enrol a child, you accept them as parent or legal guardian for yourself and for the student.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Both documents apply together.
02 Who may enrol
- Little Champs is for children from age 4. Kids, teens, and adult programmes follow the ages shown on the website.
- A student under 18 must be enrolled by a parent or guardian who can be reached on the numbers we hold.
- Staff accounts are issued by the academy. You may not share a staff login.
- We may refuse or pause enrolment if information is incomplete, a medical concern is undisclosed, or conduct puts others at risk.
03 Accounts
Student, parent, and staff accounts are personal. Keep passwords and OTPs private. You are responsible for activity under your login. Tell us promptly if you think an account was misused.
Parent accounts are linked to one or more students. They exist so a guardian can follow classes, attendance, progress, and fees — not to impersonate the student on the mat.
We may disable an account that is inactive, unpaid, abusive, or a security risk. Disabled staff or student logins cannot be used until the academy restores them.
04 Enrolment & approval
Online or in-app registration is a request, not a confirmed place. Centre staff review each application. Until status is approved, the student should not assume they are on a batch roster.
You confirm that the details you submit — name, age, contacts, medical notes, belt history — are true. False or withheld information can delay approval or lead to removal from class.
Class, schedule, and fee plan are chosen at enrolment and may be changed by the centre when batches, timings, or sensei assignments change. We will use the contact details on file to tell you.
05 Fees & payments
- Fees follow the plan attached to the student’s class schedule. Amounts, taxes, and any trial offer are as stated at enrolment or on the invoice.
- Invoices are raised by the centre. Pay by the due date shown. Late or missed payment may pause training until the account is clear.
- In-app payments are processed by PhonePe. A successful gateway confirmation is what marks an invoice paid.
- Manual transfers (including camp UTR uploads) are pending until staff verify them.
- Uniforms, belts, grading fees, camp fees, and event fees may be charged separately from monthly or term class fees.
Refunds
Class fees already allocated to a started term or month are generally non-refundable, unless the academy cancels a programme and cannot offer a reasonable alternative. Trial classes, if offered, are free of obligation until you enrol.
Summer camp fees follow a no-refund rule once paid, as declared on the camp application. Other camps and events will state their refund rule at registration.
06 Training & conduct
Karate at SK Martial Arts is traditional Goju Ryu training: kata, kihon, kumite, and dojo etiquette.
- Arrive on time, bow in, and follow the sensei’s instructions on the floor.
- Bare feet and suitable training wear (then gi, once issued) are required.
- Respect other students. Bullying, harassment, or reckless contact is not tolerated.
- Belt rank is earned through attendance, technique, and grading — not purchased.
- Parents should remain in designated waiting areas unless a sensei invites them onto the floor.
We may move a student to another batch, pause sparring, or ask someone to sit out if safety or discipline requires it.
07 Health & assumption of risk
Martial arts is physical. It involves falling, striking, stretching, and contact with other people. Injuries — bruises, strains, and on rare occasions more serious harm — can occur even when everyone trains carefully.
You (and, for a child, the parent or guardian) confirm that:
- The student is fit to train, or you have told us about medical conditions, injuries, or medication that a sensei should know
- You will update us if that changes
- You understand training is not a substitute for medical advice
- You assume the inherent risks of karate and related fitness training
Instructors are not doctors. If a student feels unwell, they must tell the sensei and stop. Emergency contacts on the enrolment form will be used if we need to reach a guardian quickly.
To the fullest extent allowed by Indian law, SK Martial Arts, its senseis, instructors, and staff are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from ordinary training, except where caused by our proven negligence or wilful misconduct.
08 Camps, events & summer training
Camps and events have their own dates, venue, kit list, and fee. Applying online (including Summer Karate Training Camp) does not guarantee a place until the application is accepted and the required payment is verified.
Camp rules, boarding or day-schedule instructions, and the no-refund policy on the application form form part of these Terms for that programme. Parent consent given on the form is required for minors.
09 Photos & media
The academy photographs classes, gradings, camps, and events for the website, brochure, student app, SK Dojo, and academy social channels. Profile photos you upload are used on academy records and apps.
If you do not want a particular child featured in public marketing photos, tell the centre in writing. We will take reasonable steps to avoid identifying them in new public posts. Operational records (attendance, belt photos on an internal profile) may still need a likeness.
10 Apps & the website
- The public site is for information, enquiries, ratings, and downloads. Class timings on the brochure can change — call to confirm.
- The student/parent app is for enrolled families. It is not a medical, legal, or payment-advice service.
- SK Dojo is only for authorised staff. Misuse of student data in SK Dojo is a serious breach of these Terms.
- We may update, pause, or withdraw app features. Temporary downtime can happen.
Ratings submitted on the website may be moderated. We can decline or remove a review that is abusive, unrelated, or not from a registered number.
11 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Probe, scrape, or overload the website or APIs
- Share logins, impersonate another family, or access another student’s record
- Upload malware, unlawful content, or someone else’s photo or ID without permission
- Use academy materials to run a competing class or misrepresent rank
12 Intellectual property
The SK Martial Arts name, logo, belt-path artwork, technique library, website, and app designs belong to the academy or its licensors. You may not copy them for a commercial purpose without written permission.
Kata, kihon, and ranking systems are taught for training. Recording a class for personal revision is usually fine if the sensei agrees; posting other students’ children online without consent is not.
13 Ending training
You may stop training by telling the centre. Outstanding invoices remain payable. We may suspend or end enrolment for unpaid fees, repeated absence without notice, unsafe conduct, or a material breach of these Terms.
After leaving, belt history and fee records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy. App access ends when the account is closed or disabled.
14 Liability & disclaimers
The website and apps are provided “as is”. We aim for accurate class lists and invoices, but we do not warrant that online information is always complete or uninterrupted.
Except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or liability that Indian law does not allow us to limit, SK Martial Arts is not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including missed gradings, travel, or lost data). Our total liability for a claim about the digital services is limited to the class fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
15 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Kolhapur, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any non-excludable rights you have as a consumer.
If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these Terms; the date at the top is the current version. Continued training or use of the apps after an update means you accept the new Terms.
